Governor Chayachai Saeng-in said outflow hit 2,227 cubic metres per second at 7am, with residents in Muang, Amphawa and Bang Khonthi — covering 27 subdistricts and 204 villages — warned four times by cell broadcast. Locals and shop owners have stacked sandbags around homes and businesses ahead of the anticipated flooding.
In Bangkok, conditions are steadily improving, with water receding in Khlong Chan, Bang Kapi, Lat Phrao and other areas, Governor Chadchart Sittipunt said after visiting Bang Kapi. At the hard-hit Khlong Chan housing estate, which Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has toured twice, levels in some spots have dropped about a metre below the Saen Saep Canal. Residents who had parked on roads and bridges have moved their cars back inside, with free seven-day parking available at NRT lots.
